Sister School Beijing Dance Academy Delegation Visits NTUA

National Taiwan University of Arts (NTUA) had the honor of hosting a delegation from its sister school, Beijing Dance Academy, from mainland China on April 8th. The delegation included Vice President Qiang Zhang, Dean of the Humanities College Xin Li, and Curator of the Library and Dance Museum Wei Ruan. The purpose of this visit was to strengthen academic exchanges and cooperation between the two institutions.

The delegation was warmly received by President Dr. Shih-Kai Chung, Vice President Dr. Chia-Cheng Chen, Dean of the Office of International Affairs Prof. Dr. Yu-Ling Chao, Dean of the School of Performing Arts and Head of the Dance Department Prof. Jao-Hsun Tseng, Associate Professor Dr. Cheng Chuan Huang and Assistant Professor Lin-lin Yang of the Dance Department. In addition to engaging in in-depth discussions and exchanges on academic research, faculty development, and artistic exchanges, exchange students from Beijing Dance Academy this semester Xin-Rui Zhu and Jun-Xi Quan were invited to share their experiences of life at NTUA.

Afterward, the delegation visited NTUA's Dance Department, Performance Hall, and Our Museum, gaining insights into the achievements and experiences of NTUA in dance arts and cultural heritage.

President Chung expressed that Beijing Dance Academy is one of the important institutions in the field of dance arts in mainland China and globally. As a leading institution in arts education in Taiwan, NTUA is committed to the development and inheritance of arts and culture. The exchange and cooperation between the two institutions will provide more opportunities for academic exchange and collaboration for students and faculty, promoting the common prosperity of dance arts in both regions.

This visit will further promote friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two institutions, contributing to the development of the dance arts industry.
