On October 30th, the National Taiwan University of Arts (NTUA) representatives warmly welcomed Prof. Elisabeth GUTJAHR, the Chancellor of the University Mozarteum Salzburg in Austria, and the Research Assistant Ms. Alison Yang from the Ministry of Education. The purpose of this visit was to foster academic exchange and cooperation between the two institutions while exploring future international collaboration prospects.
The NTUA delegation, led by Vice President Prof. Dr. Chia-Cheng Chen, included Prof. Dr. Yu-Ling Chao, the Dean of International Affairs, Prof. Dr. Lien-Chiang Chang, the Head of the Department of Drama, Prof. Dr. Ping-Heng Tsai, the Head of the Department of Chinese Music, Prof. Ti Huang, the Head of the Department of Music, Asst. Prof. Ilhun Jung, the faculty member of Department of Music and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ya-Ting Fan, the Director of International Cooperation at the Office of International Affairs. During the meeting, both sides introduced the unique characteristics and development of their respective institutions. They discussed potential future collaborations, including mutual music and drama performances, interdisciplinary collaboration, relocation of teaching, workshops, and other models. This dialogue has paved the way for the expansion and strengthening of a close partnership between the two universities.
Following the meeting, the delegation embarked on a campus tour, visiting the Department of Music, the Department of Chinese Music, and the NTUA Our Museum. This visit allowed the representatives from the Austrian university to gain a deeper understanding of NTUA's outstanding achievements in the diverse field of arts, lighting up the potential for further academic collaboration and cultural exchange.
NTUA is committed to nurturing professionals in arts and culture and actively participates in international academic exchanges. The visit by the representatives from the University Mozarteum Salzburg in Austria will enrich the global perspective of the university and provide more opportunities for international academic cooperation.
