The Stuttgart Media University and the National Taiwan University of Arts (NTUA) celebrated a significant academic exchange when Prof. Dr. Alexander Roos, the Rector of Stuttgart Media University, and Dr. Hong-Zhen Diao visited the NTUA on October 27th. The visit was hosted by the delegation, including the Vice President, Prof. Dr. Shu-Chin Lien, the Dean of International Affairs, Prof. Dr. Yu-Ling Chao, the Head of the Department of Graphic Communication Arts, Prof. Dr. Pei-Ling Liao, the Head of the Department of Radio and Television, Prof. Dr. Chi-Ming Chiu, and the Lecturer of the Department of Motion Picture, Ms. Hung-Ling San.
The purpose of this visit was to promote academic exchange programs between the two universities. This exchange not only strengthens the collaboration between the two institutions but also fosters academic research and cultural exchange. Both universities look forward to future collaboration projects, including student exchange programs, joint research initiatives, and summer schools.
After the meetings, the delegation had the opportunity to tour NTUA's state-of-the-art educational facilities, including the Department of Motion Picture, the Department of Graphic Communication Arts, the Innovation Center for Art and Technology (ICAT), and the Center for Sound Arts and Acoustics Research (CSAAR). The expert guides included the Vice President, the Dean of the College of Communications and the Professor at the Department of Radio and Television, Dr. Shu-Chin Lien, the Dean of the College of Design, Prof. Chang-Jay Shih, as well as the Head of the Department of Graphic Communication Arts, Prof. Dr. Pei-Ling Liao.
This visit represents a significant milestone in the collaboration between the two universities, promising to mutually advance the field of arts education and strengthen international cultural ties. The expectation is that future collaborative projects will yield fruitful outcomes that benefit teachers and students of both institutions and the global arts and media community.
