Following its selection for the 18th FullDome Festival Jena 2024 in Germany, "Dialogue in Silence" was further chosen from 63 works to be among 17 finalists for the IPS-FullDome Festival JANUS-Award. The winners will be announced at the IPS Special FullDome Festival on July 18-19, making it the only work from Asia to be nominated.
Since 2020, the Innovation Center for Art and Technology (ICAT) has been promoting the production of fulldome content. Starting with diverse courses that lead students in creating and presenting works, and through industry-academia collaborations, ICAT has also expanded its reach to rural areas. The creations are varied, including animation, AI-generated works, live-action filming, music composition, dance creation, and more.
JANUS-AWARD – THE JENA TRADITION
The FullDome Festival honors outstanding achievements with the JANUS-Award. The double-faced Roman god Janus was chosen as our patron saint because he sees front and rear, past and future simultaneously. No one is better equipped to bless the heroes of immersive media reaching for the stars!
