The fulldome film "Dialogue in Silence", co-created by project assistant Chih-Jung Hsu from the Innovation Center for Art and Technology (ICAT) and graduate student Chia-Yi Shih from the Institute of Transdisciplinary Performing Arts, has been selected for the 18th Jena FullDome Festival 2024. The film will be screened from May 23 to 26, 2024, at the Zeiss-Planetarium Jena in Germany.
Since 2020, the ICAT has been promoting the production of fulldome content. This includes leading students in diverse courses to create and present their work, collaborating with industry for academic-industrial projects, and expanding outreach to rural areas. Their creations span a variety of mediums, including animation, AI-generated imagery, live-action filming, music composition, and dance performance.
The Jena FullDome Festival, held in the city of Jena, Germany, focuses on content and technology for panoramic dome theaters. The festival aims to promote and develop fulldome image art, inviting submissions from fulldome artists worldwide and providing a platform for international exchange and exhibition.
