The NTUA Department of Graphic Communication Arts maintains an exceptional faculty comprising distinguished and accomplished educators. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:20, with education delivered in formats that engage and edify. Our faculty members have made important contributions in numerous segments of the graphic communication arts field.

Dr. Yung-Cheng Hsieh, Department Chair and Dean of the Graduate School of Graphic Communication Arts, earned his PhD from Iowa State University and has particular fortes in research, statistics and graphic communication arts technology.

Associate Professor Feng Nien Han earned his PhD from the National Taiwan Normal University and teaches subjects including operations management, media technology integration and statistical research.

Associate Professor Chang-Lang Chen has the most practical commercial experience of all department faculty members, having worked at the frontier between academia, government and private sector, with particular experience in print media technology and operations management.

Assistant Professor Pei Ling Liao earned her PhD from the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia. She is a highly accomplished educator in the fields of photography, graphic design and multimedia design.

Assistant Professor Mengtsung Tai holds a PhD from the University of Northern Iowa and MA from the Rochester Institute of Technology. His areas of specialty include publishing & editing, software applications, chromatics and typography. In addition to our full-time teaching staff, the department also retains over 30 top industry managers and professional talent as part-time educators. They are eminently qualified to not only teach their professional skills, but share with students their real industry experiences and professional passions.
